Hi from Yerevan

So it happened! I’m back in Yerevan and it is even better than I expected. (Well, I always try to set my expectations low.)
I‘m staying in a perfect flat. Before I came I just knew that it is at the last floor and there is no lift. I was very happy to find out that the house has only four floors :) The location could not be better: 3 minutes to my friends’ office, 5 minutes to the centre - on foot. And the best is, that we have running water non-stop. This is extremely important because I decided not to switch to local time so I’m getting up around 11:30 a.m. and coming home between 1-2 a.m. (which would be 8:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. in Prague – I’m a good girl :) If we had running water only mornings and evenings this would not be possible. (BTW I was the first one that went to bed, my Iranian flat mates party much longer.)
I had my first walk round the city and it is like I have never left. I know where I’m going, I can arrange stuff by myself (in a special mixture of Armenian and Russian with addition of Czech grammar), I still remember how to cross the streets, I’m a master of avoiding eye contact and ignoring people (I haven’t seen anyone staring at me). I’ve noticed some changes as well, but I need more time to decide if it is really something new or just a coincidence so I will blog this later.
And yeah, this time the first guy who asked me for my phone number was an officer at the passport control (100% sure this was not part of his job).

FYI: my Armenian cell phone number is +374 91 124 539, the Czech one will not be checked too often.
